London Tattoo Shop Guide lists 100 tattoo studios across London, built for anyone trying to work out which shop actually suits what they want, whether that’s fine line work in Hackney, traditional flash in Camden, or a cover-up specialist south of the river. It’s aimed at people who want a shortlist backed by data rather than a scroll through hundreds of Instagram grids.
Every studio here is drawn from public business information (address, opening hours, services, price signals where published) combined with a synthesis of recent Google reviews. We don’t copy or republish review text; instead we read the pattern across recent feedback and summarise what it tells us about consistency, hygiene, communication, and the kind of work a shop is known for. If you want the original reviews in full, we link out to the shop’s Google listing so you can read them yourself.
How rankings are earned
Position in the directory comes entirely from a published rubric applied to that data, covering things like review recency, sentiment consistency, and how complete a shop’s public information is. Sponsored listings
Some pages carry a listing clearly marked “Sponsored.” These are shown in a separate section from the earned ranking and never move a studio up or down the actual rankings. A sponsorship arrangement pays for visibility, not for a better score.
Corrections and what businesses can’t touch
A listed shop can ask us to correct factual details, a wrong address, outdated hours, a phone number that’s changed. What a business cannot do is edit its own score, sentiment summary, or ranking position. That stays tied to the data and the rubric, not to who’s asking.
How enquiries work
London Tattoo Shop Guide is an independent directory and comparison resource, and we’re upfront that it does more than list shops. When you ask to be matched with someone, we pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request, and we may receive a referral fee for that introduction.
